I want to come along to one of your events, how do I book a space ?
On our Events page, click on the event you would like to attend. At the bottom of the event, follow the ‘Learn More’ link to attend.
I’d like to attend your events, but I’m not fully Vegan or Vegetarian, can I still attend ?
Yes, you are most welcome to attend. All that we ask is that you follow the theme of the event, so if its being organised as a Vegan event we ask that you be Vegan for that event. If its organised as Vegetarian, we ask that you try Vegan or Vegetarian food only.
There doesn’t seem to be any events in my location, could I be an event organiser ?
Yes this is possible, but lets get to know each other first. Come along to some our events nearby, and if you like what we are doing and the people, then speak with your event organiser expressing your interest in doing something similar in your area. One of our goals is to make it easier for Vegans and Vegetarians to find healthy, tasty food in their area – so please, get in touch.
I know many great Vegan or Vegetarian places, or I know great places that sell Vegan or Vegetarian food – can I recommend these for your next events ?
Yes of course, get in touch with us via our Contact page. We’d love to hear from you.
I’m Veggie, and I know lots of really great recipes – can I share these with you ?
Yes we would love to hear from you. Get in touch with us via our Contacts page.
I own or run a place that sells food. We would like some advice from you on how we could improve our Vegan or Vegetarian menu’s, is this possible ? If so, could you come to my place and speak to us about our menu ?
Yes of course, we love to talk about food and we are especially interested to hear from businesses who want to make it easier for Vegans and Vegetarians to eat at their place. Get on touch with us via our Contact page.
I have a great Restaurant or Cafe, and I’d like to host an event for you. Is this possible ?
Of course it is, get in touch with us via our contact page and we can organise an event. We will come visit you, to see what you have to offer both Vegan and Vegetarian’s. Once we have visited your place, and sampled your food
, we can organise an event at your place.
What is a Vegan ?
Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.
What is a Vegetarian ?
Someone who lives on a diet of grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits with, or without, the use of dairy products and eggs. A vegetarian does not eat any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish or by-products of slaughter.
There are different degrees of vegetarianism which may be what causes confusion with caterers. The four most common forms of vegetarianism are:
Lacto-ovo-vegetarian. Eats both dairy products and eggs. This is the most common type of vegetarian diet.
Lacto-vegetarian. Eats dairy products but not eggs.
Ovo-vegetarian. Eats eggs but not dairy products.
Vegan. Does not eat dairy products, eggs, or any other animal product.
Eggs: Many lacto-ovo vegetarians will only eat free-range eggs. This is because of welfare objections to the intensive farming of hens.
