Healthy Cooking On A Budget

In this friendly 2 hour class you will learn how to prepare and cook these 3 healthy main course dishes on a budget. This class will be fully interactive, and you will be able to taste the dishes prepared (they will be shared with others attending the class). You will be helping prepare the dishes so please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. (Please bring an apron).
Healthy cooking needn’t be expensive and in this class we will help get you thinking about the kinds of things you should be buying if you want to stock your kitchen on a budget.
During the class we will be preparing:
Aromatic Chick Pea Curry
Delicious Coconut Rice Pudding
Learn to prepare a simple soup for your family. Lentil Soup, served with seasonal vegetables is a ‘go-to’ dish for lunch. Its easy to make, economical and when prepared with aromatic herbs looks and tastes delicious.
With this Chick Pea curry we will start by preparing a spiced infused curry paste which will provide the flavour for this main dish. Chick Peas are an excellent source of dietary fibre, protein and carbohydrates. The dish will be flavoured with fresh herbs and served with a bulgur salad, accompanied with pickles.
Coconut rice pudding is an excellent dessert for your family. This dish is easy to prepare and when accompanied with steamed fruit is a really healthy option.
This class is suitable for Vegans, Vegetarians and everyone else. Please note: We will be using nuts during this class, if you are allergic to nuts then this class is unfortunately not for you.
